Training Scholarships
Will you help send people through life-saving training at no cost to them?
Hi, Safety Steve here! I think everyone should learn what to do in an emergency. Wilderness First Aid, CPR, and other medical training is a great way to learn life-saving skills, improve communication, and practice teamwork. And now you can help someone enroll in a certification course at no cost to them. Each donation will go towards a free ticket in an upcoming course taught by me. Once the first ticket is paid for, a SECOND person will receive a free ticket courtesy of my training company, Keystone Community Rescue. If the money donated covers the cost of two tickets, my company will offer two additional free seats in the class. Together, we can help up to FOUR people per course get training and certification at no cost to them.
Whether or not you donate, you can nominate a candidate (or yourself) for one of the training scholarships. Just tell me why you think the person deserves it or how they would put the training to good use. To send a nomination, please send an email or message with the following heading: RE: Wilderness First Aid Training Scholarship Nomination
Please note:
Scholarship candidates must be 18 years old or have a signed parent/guardian permission form. Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
If a fundraiser does not raise enough to cover the full price of a ticket the remaining funds will be applied to the next scholarship fundraiser.
Keystone Community Rescue is NOT a non-profit company but I do want to give back to the community. In addition to the scholarship program I also offer the following free courses : Hands-Only CPR, Until Help Arrives, and Stop the Bleed.
