This is an instructor-led certification course that teaches how to perform CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in adults, children, and infants. This course adheres to the 2015 International Consensus Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC). It is intended for community members with or without prior training including parents, teachers, police officers, firefighters, and others (not for healthcare professionals).
Class time is approximately four hours. Certification is good for two years and is issued through the Emergency Care & Safety Institute (ECSI) in association with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS).
Attendees will receive a CPR & first aid pocket guide and a CPR face shield.
