This 16-hour standard level course is accepted by state health departments across the USA. It is recognized by national organizations such as the Boy Scouts of America, and is perfect for anyone whose job or position requires Wilderness First Aid certification.
Wilderness courses provide training on how to appropriately manage illness and injury when transport to the nearest treatment facility will take hours or days due to being in remote rural locations, wilderness areas, or even urban areas during disaster situations. Designed for those who work or travel in remote locations, these courses will teach you what to look for and what to do in the event of an emergency, and will direct you to the most appropriate type of care. Certifications are issued through the Emergency Care & Safety Institute and are valid for two years.
